Job summary

Millennium Health is seeking a Full Time Specimen Collector Phlebotomist in Columbus, OH to collect blood, urine and saliva specimens and manage their processing for shipping. The role acts as a bridge between clinics and the laboratory, ensuring accurate patient data and specimen handling throughout the workflow.

The ideal candidate holds a phlebotomy credential or 1+ year field experience, with strong customer service skills, smartphone/computer proficiency, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience in the field.
• 6+ months of experience as a specimen collector or 1+ years in the medical field, directly supporting patients.
• 2+ years of customer service experience can be considered in place of medical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smart phone and computer required.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as an intermediary between the practice / clinic and the laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens.
