Job summary

Millennium Health in Dayton, OH is seeking a Part-Time Female Specimen Collector Phlebotomist to join our accredited laboratory. The role focuses on observed collections from female patients, collecting blood, urine, and oral fluid, and ensuring accurate documentation and safe transport.

You will work Tue/Wed/Fri 9:00am-3:00pm (18 hours/week), interact with clinicians, and help maintain supplies. A valid phlebotomy certification or equivalent experience plus strong customer service are required,

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Certified phlebotomist with 1+ year experience.
• 6+ months specimen collection or 1+ years in medical field preferred.
• 2+ years of customer service experience may substitute medical experience.
• Demonstrated ability to navigate a smartphone and computer.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Responsibilities

• Collect patient blood, urine and/or oral fluid (saliva) specimens.
• Process and package collections for shipping.
• Serve as intermediary between practice/clinic and laboratory.
• Record patient information, physician order details, and pertinent laboratory information.
• Resolve specimen concerns with billing or patient information in ordering portal.
• Order and maintain collection supplies inventory onsite.
• Observe collection for Millennium Health specimens where applicable.
• Driving between facilities may be required.
