Job summary

Labcorp is seeking a part-time Phlebotomist to work in a Patient Service Center. You will perform skilled specimen collections, provide exceptional customer service, and be the face of the company.

Opportunity for growth within the organization and competitive benefits are available. 20 hours weekly, Monday-Friday, with rotating Saturdays; minimum qualifications include a high school diploma and phlebotomy certification or training.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3 months experience as a phlebotomist.
• 1 year or more of phlebotomy experience (preferred).
• In lieu of work experience, certification or training from an accredited agency is required.
• Able to pass a color blindness test and flexible to work overtime as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments when required.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.
• Other duties as assigned.
