Job summary

Quest Diagnostics is hiring a Phlebotomist II (Part-Time) in Houston, TX, Monday to Friday, 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM, with rotational weekends. Pay starts at $22.35+ per hour, with potential performance bonuses.

Responsibilities include collecting specimens, processing samples, and data entry using lab systems. Requires 3 years phlebotomy experience, HS diploma, and valid driver’s license; certification preferred in some states.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required.
• Keyboard/data entry experience.
• Flexible and available based on staffing needs, including weekends, holidays, on-call and overtime.
• Must have reliable transportation, valid driver's license, and clean driving record, if applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent; medical training preferred; phlebotomy certification preferred in certain states.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures, including drug screens and biometric screenings.
• Administer oral solutions per training.
• Verify orders by using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and enter data accurately.
• Obtain billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens: labeling, centrifuging, aliquoting, freezing and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties: inventory, stocking, sanitizing, filing, phones, and email.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and comply with policies.
• Complete online and in-person training timely.
