Job summary

Quest Diagnostics in Houston, TX is seeking a Phlebotomist I for a part-time shift, Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM, with rotating weekends. You will collect specimens, process samples, and verify orders using lab systems while entering data and assisting with billing as needed.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Medical training such as medical assistant or paramedic preferred.
• Phlebotomy certification preferred; required in some states.

Responsibilities

• Collect specimens according to established procedures.
• Administer oral solutions according to training.
• Verify orders using lab systems and client contact.
• Navigate computer systems and accurately enter data.
• Enter billing information and collect payments when required.
• Process specimens including labeling and preparing for transport.
• Perform non-patient facing duties such as inventory and filing.
• Maintain phlebotomy logs and adhere to policies.
• Complete trainings timely.
