Job summary

BioLife is offering part-time plasma donor screener roles in Duluth, focusing on donor encounters, phlebotomy support, and center operations. Expect 4–6 hour shifts, 3+ days per week, with a structured training program and clear communication on schedule changes.

Responsibilities include donor screening, vital signs, charting, and compensation coordination, with flexibility for weekend and holiday hours. A customer-facing role is preferred, with a commitment to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire work shift.
• Will work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lean, bend, stoop, crouch, and reach above shoulders and below knees.
• Ability to lift to 5 lbs., and occasional lifting of materials up to 32 lbs. and rarely 50 lbs.
• Fine motor coordination, depth perception, and ability to hear equipment from a distance.
• Because of potential exposure to bloodborne pathogens (risk level 1), 90% of work tasks require prolonged glove wear.
• 1 or more years minimum experience working in a customer or patient facing role is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System, prepare donor charts, maintain records, and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify operational opportunities for center process improvements and implement approved changes.
• Support donors across a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
