Job summary

Labcorp in Shoreham, NY is seeking a Phlebotomist to join a part-time team working 25 hours per week (Mon-Fri 7:00am-12:00pm and Sat 7:00am-11:30am). You will collect blood samples, process specimens, enter patient data, and support billing and customer service across multiple sites.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, and phlebotomy certification or training, with preferred pediatric phlebotomy experience.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED or equivalent.
• Phlebotomy certification or completed training program or 3+ months of phlebotomy experience.
• Customer service skills and ability to work independently or in a team.

Responsibilities

• Perform blood collections by venipuncture and capillary techniques for all age groups.
• Collect specimens for drug screens, paternity tests, alcohol tests etc.
• Perform data entry of patient information in an accurate and timely manner.
• Process billing information and collect payments as necessary.
• Prepare all collected specimens for testing and analysis.
• Maintain patient and specimen information logs.
• Provide superior customer service to all patients.
• Administrative and clerical duties as necessary.
• Travel to additional sites when needed.

Education

High school diploma or GED or equivalent

Phlebotomy certification or completed training program

3+ months experience as phlebotomist
