Job summary

BioLife is offering a truly part-time Plasma Donor Screener/Phlebotomist role in Cedar Rapids, IA. You will report to the Plasma Center Manager and support center operations with donor screening, phlebotomy, and record-keeping.

The position requires standing, flexibility for evenings/weekends/holidays, and a high school diploma. Competitive benefits are provided as part of a comprehensive package, with a starting wage of $16.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to walk and/or stand for the entire shift.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Experience in customer or patient-facing roles is helpful.

Responsibilities

• Answer phones and greet donors while ensuring donor and team safety.
• Screen new and repeat donors; take and record donor vital signs and finger stick results.
• Use the Donor Information System; prepare donor charts and coordinate donor compensation.
• Identify opportunities for process improvements and initiate changes per approved procedures.
• Work a variety of shifts, including Saturdays, Sundays, and holidays.
