Job summary

Pride Health is hiring a Part-Time Phlebotomist to support our client’s medical facility based in Gaithersburg, MD. This is a 3 months assignment with potential extension or conversion, presenting a great entry opportunity with a top-tier healthcare organization.

The role requires phlebotomy proficiency and flexibility with 20 hours per week. Pay is $20–$22 per hour on W2, with pay based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Phlebotomist.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Perform verification of patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labelled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
• Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public.
