Job summary

Pride Health is seeking a Part-Time Phlebotomist to support a medical facility in Rockville, MD 20850. This 3-month contract offers options for extension, with a first shift of 20 hours per week and pay of $20-$22 per hour on a W-2.

The role involves blood collection from pediatric to geriatric patients, maintaining safety and accuracy, and multi-location coverage as needed. Prior phlebotomy experience is essential.

Qualifications

• Three years phlebotomy experience required, inclusive of pediatric, geriatric and capillary collections.
• Minimum 2 years in a Patient Service Center environment preferred.
• 3+ years’ experience working as a Phlebotomist.
• Customer service in a retail or service environment preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe and professional environment.
• Performs with confidence, both the forensic and clinical specimen collection and processing duties following established practices and procedures.
• Verify patient demographic info / initials including patient signature post-venipuncture to verify tubes were labelled in their presence and that the name on the label is correct.
• Demonstrates organizational commitment and promotes a positive image to patients, clients, employees, and the public in general.
