Scripps Health is seeking a part-time phlebotomist for day shifts at Scripps Clinic Labs. The role involves floating to Rancho Bernardo, Hillcrest, Eastlake, and other sites as needed, with primary hours from early morning.

• Phlebotomy and specimen collection.
• Observe aseptic technique and isolation procedures.
• Follow time-sensitive specimen handling and documentation.

Responsabilidades

• Respond to life-critical situations such as trauma or code events.
• Ensure samples are collected according to STAT, Timed and routine priorities.
• Observe aseptic technique and isolation procedures.
• Clarify unclear orders and document ABN necessity when indicated.
• Identify patients prior to sample collection and label samples accurately.
• Perform phlebotomy by venipuncture or capillary puncture for all ages.
• Preserve sample integrity by timely delivery to the lab.
• Process specimens and follow handling instructions for all tests.
• Follow HAZMAT regulations when packing samples for transport.
• Perform pre-analytic and analytic steps under supervision.
• Demonstrate knowledge of standard office and EMR systems.
