Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of UnitedHealth Group, seeks a Part Time Pharmacy Technician to support mental health and specialty pharmacy functions in Hickory, NC. You will dispense prescriptions and perform clerical duties under the direct supervision of a registered pharmacist.

Hours are 24 per week, 8:00 am–5:00 pm EST with a lunch break 12:00–1:00 pm; on-site at 327 1st Ave NW, Hickory, NC 28601. Competitive benefits and opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Active and unrestricted Pharmacy Technician license in North Carolina.
• Access to reliable transportation.
• Preferred: National Pharmacy Technician Certification.
• Pharmacy and prescription data entry experience (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provides exceptional customer service to all consumers and clinic staff.
• Fills prescription orders and makes them available for verification under direct supervision of the pharmacist.
• Orders, receives and stores incoming pharmacy supplies.
• Receives and processes medication orders.
• Verifies medication stock and enters data in computer to maintain inventory records.
• Keeps the pharmacy compliant with federal and state requirements with the pharmacist.
• Performs various clerical duties related to the department.
• Communicates with strong professional verbal and written communication skills.
