Job summary

Central Admixture Pharmacy in Texas is seeking a Staff Pharmacist to prepare compounded sterile products using aseptic technique under the direction of the Director of Pharmacy, and to assist in supervising IV technicians, interns and other support staff.

The role requires a PharmD or Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy, a valid Texas Pharmacist license, and completion of ACPE accredited IV certification, with at least 1 year of related experience.

Qualifications

  • 1+ years related experience required.
  • REQUIRED: Valid Pharmacist license in TX
  • REQUIRED: Completion of ACPE accredited IV Certification

Responsibilities

  • Adheres to all policies and procedures.
  • Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique.
  • Ensures pharmacy compliance with State Board of Pharmacy and other regulating agencies.
  • Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing.
  • Resolves order discrepancies and problems with customer pharmacy personnel.
  • Provides after hour On Call coverage as needed.
  • Participates in CAPS Continuous Quality Improvement Program and performs Quality Control functions as assigned.
  • Assists in successful pharmacy operation: troubleshooting equipment problems, ordering supplies and maintaining inventory.
  • Maintains positive customer relationships.
  • May supervise IV Technicians and interns; reviews works for accuracy while ensuring compliance with CAPS SOPs.

Responsibilities: Essential Duties
  • Adheres to all policies and procedures
  • Prepares compounded sterile products using aseptic technique and CAPS Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Ensures pharmacy compliance with rules and regulations of the State Board of Pharmacy and other regulating agencies.
  • Reviews orders and prescriptions for admixing and dispensing.
  • Resolves order discrepancies and problems with customer pharmacy personnel. Provides after hour On Call coverage as needed.
  • Participates in CAPS Continuous Quality Improvement Program and performs Quality Control functions as assigned.

  • Bachelor's degree or PharmD required.
  • 1+ years related experience required.
  • REQUIRED: Valid Pharmacist license in TX
  • REQUIRED: Completion of ACPE accredited IV Certification
  • Schedule: 11am-6pm, Position covers alternating weekends and company holidays.
  • Salary range is $57.81 - $72.50
