Job summary

Cal State East Bay is seeking a Pharmacist II to oversee the Student Health Services Pharmacy at the Hayward campus with potential coverage at the Concord location. This temporary, part-time role (30 hours per week) focuses on dispensing medications, patient counseling, and coordinating with clinicians.

Responsibilities include maintaining formulary, supervising staff, and providing immunizations as needed. A California pharmacist license and ACPE degree are required.

Qualifications

• Pharmacist with ACPE-credentialed degree and state license.
• Experience with automated pharmacy systems (Propharm).
• Strong computer skills across office apps and databases.
• Clear communication and writing abilities; client-facing.
• Knowledge of billing regulations (Family PACT).
• Immunizations experience and EMR familiarity.
• Ability to multitask, lead staff, and maintain records.
• Willingness to travel and lift up to 25 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Oversee pharmacy operations; provide clinical drug information.
• Dispense medications and counsel students on use.
• Advise clinicians on drug selection, dosage, and administration.
• Maintain formulary and dispense records; manage inventory.
• Supervise pharmacy staff and assist with immunizations.
