Job summary

Genoa Healthcare, part of Optum, is seeking a Staff Pharmacist for the NCSS site in St. Albans, VT. The role focuses on dispensing prescriptions and advising customers on medications as part of a coordinated care team.

The on-site, part-time position offers 16 hours per week, Mon-Fri 8:30am–5:00pm. Applicants must hold a Vermont pharmacist license and a PharmD or B.Pharm, with immunizer certification or a plan to obtain it within 3 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Pharmacy or PharmD required.
• Current pharmacist license in state of Vermont required.
• Certified immunizer or willing to become an immunizer within 3 months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Distributes drugs prescribed by physicians and other health practitioners.
• Provides information to customers about medications and their use.
• Focuses on providing a superior level of customer service.
• Ensures compliance with all relevant laws of the applicable State Board of Pharmacy.
• Administration of immunizations as allowed by State Boards of Pharmacy.
• Any other usual and customary pharmacy duties.

Education
