Job summary

Rutherford Regional Health System is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN to join our perioperative team. The role focuses on pre-, intra-, and post-operative patient care, with emphasis on safety, efficiency, and documentation.

The ideal candidate will hold an NC RN license, BLS and ACLS certifications within specified timeframes, and have 1 year of OR experience or relevant equivalent. Typical hours are 7:00am-3:30pm with call shifts.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in nursing required.
• One year of Operating Room RN experience preferred; new-to-OR candidates may be considered based on overall experience.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Performs thorough pre-, intra-, and post-operative assessments to ensure safe patient care.
• Anticipates the needs of the surgical team and supports efficient workflow.
• Provides age- and procedure-appropriate nursing care throughout the perioperative process.
• Maintains accurate and timely documentation in the medical record.
• Collaborates with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and surgical technologists to deliver high-quality outcomes.
