Job summary

On the Road to Wellness is a non-clinical, peer-led mental health organization serving adults in Manchester and Derry, NH since 1988. This part-time role centers on transportation and peer support, with opportunities to lead groups and participate in wellness activities.

You will assist participants with walking center access, provide one-on-one support, and help connect clients to community resources while maintaining a welcoming, respectful, and recovery-focused environment.

Qualifications

• A strong commitment to personal recovery, self-care, and wellness.
• A genuine interest in supporting people experiencing mental health challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Reliability, accountability, and a strong work ethic.
• Ability to drive safely and responsibly; open to training to NH Peer Support Specialist.

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one peer support and engage with participants in walk-in centers.
• Assist with transportation to and from walk-in centers and community activities.
• Facilitate or co-facilitate peer support groups and wellness activities.
• Help participants connect with community resources and supports.
• Cross-train for additional hours in Step-Up Step-Down residential shifts.
