On the Road to Wellness is a non-clinical, peer-led mental health organization serving adults in Manchester and Derry, NH since 1988. This part-time role centers on transportation and peer support, with opportunities to lead groups and participate in wellness activities.
You will assist participants with walking center access, provide one-on-one support, and help connect clients to community resources while maintaining a welcoming, respectful, and recovery-focused environment.

Transportation responsibilities alternate between our two Peer Support Agency locations:
This split schedule also creates opportunities for employees who are interested in picking up additional hours between transportation shifts.
Employees may also have the opportunity to be cross-trained to work within our Step-Up Step-Down residential program on a per diem basis, creating additional opportunities for hours and experience within On the Road to Wellness.
Our organization provides regular opportunities for participants to connect with their communities through outings, recreational activities, educational opportunities, and special events.
This position will occasionally provide transportation and peer support for these activities.
Community outings and events typically occur approximately once per month and may take place between the hours of 8:30 AM and 5:30 PM.
Availability for every outing or event is not expected; however, flexibility and interest in participating are strongly encouraged.

We provide free peer support services to adults ages 18 and older who are experiencing, have experienced, or are at risk of experiencing mental health challenges. No insurance or identification is required to access our services.

The person driving our vehicles is often the first and last staff member a participant interacts with that day. Whether you are welcoming someone into the van in the morning, having a meaningful conversation during a ride, helping facilitate a group during the day, or bringing participants into the community for an outing, you become part of a team focused on helping people feel seen, heard, respected, and connected.
