Job summary

Easterseals Florida is seeking a Licensed and Registered Occupational Therapist to join our Pediatric Outpatient Therapy Programs. This part-time, as-needed role focuses on evaluating and treating pediatric clients in collaboration with families and a multidisciplinary team.

You will develop and monitor individualized plans of care, document progress in the EMR, and provide guidance to COTAs and school/community staff to support functional skills in home and school environments.

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy (minimum requirement).
NBCOT examination completed.
Current Florida Occupational Therapist License.
Experience with pediatric therapy preferred.
Proficiency with electronic medical records (EMR).

Responsibilities

Complete initial evaluations and re-evaluations for pediatric outpatient therapy clients.
Develop, implement, and update individualized treatment plans using evidence-based interventions.
Document evaluation results, treatment progress notes, and billing information in the EMR.
Establish and work toward goals in the client's Plan of Care.
Manage caseload while ensuring compliance with program and payer requirements.
Provide clinical supervision to COTAs as assigned.
Coordinate with School Program staff, Early Intervention staff, and families to support care.
Educate and support clients and families to carry over therapeutic strategies.
