Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a Dietetic Assistant for the Room Service team at the Main Campus. The role ensures meals align with each patient's diet order and avoids ingredients that could be harmful, coordinating with dietitians and nurses as needed.

You will take and enter meal orders, write special diets, and serve as a communication hub for Room Service staff and other hospital professionals when the supervisor is absent. Shift coverage includes weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Must follow diet orders and ensure meals meet dietary restrictions.
• Communicate with dietitians and nurses about patient needs.
• Enter orders and guide Room Service staff in supervisor's absence.

Responsibilities

• Take and enter room service meal orders according to diet orders.
• Serve as communication hub for Room Service, dietitians and hospital staff.
• Provide instructions to Room Service employees when supervisor is unavailable.
