Job summary

Dayton Children's is seeking a Food Service Worker - Runner to deliver meals to patients who ordered via Room Service. The Runner works with Dietetics & Nutrition staff to ensure a positive patient experience and to verify meals align with diet orders.

The role requires walking and assisting in other dietary duties; PPE must be worn before entering patient rooms. High School diploma is preferred; shift is 1st shift, full-time with hours totaling 40 per week, and weekend/holiday hours may vary.

Responsibilities

• Delivers meals to patients per Room Service orders.
• Verifies that meals are complete and delivered to the correct patient per diet order.
• Follows PPE precautions before entering patient rooms.
• Assists in cleaning and with the Cook as needed.
• Performs walking as part of the job and supports other areas of the dietary department as needed.
