Dayton Children's Hospital is seeking a Dietetic Assistant for the Room Service program at the Main Campus. This part-time role (24 hours) ensures meals align with each child’s diet order and excludes restricted ingredients.
You will work closely with dietitians and nurses to review labels and special diets, take and enter orders, and guide Room Service staff when the supervisor is unavailable. Shift times include early and late hours with alternating weekends and holidays.

Job Details: The Dietetic Assistant ensures that every child requesting a meal from the Room Service program receives a meal that is within the limits of their diet order and does not contain any ingredient that would be harmful to their health. This often involves communicating with dietitians and nurses, consulting food labels and writing special diets. The Dietetic Assistant functions as a communication center for Room Service personnel, dietitians, and other professionals within the hospital with regards to special dietary needs. The Dietetic Assistant also takes and enters orders and gives instructions to the Room Service employees in the Supervisor's absence.
