Job summary

Teal Energi is seeking a part-time Mechanical Engineer with an active PE license to provide technical support at an operating facility in the Conroe, TX area. The role focuses on hands-on expertise, code compliance guidance, and engineering oversight without a full-time schedule.

You will review equipment layouts, assist with P&IDs, and support equipment evaluations and stamping as needed, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to drive safe, compliant engineering decisions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) license with stamping capability.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical codes, NFPA standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Experience with static equipment engineering and reviewing drawings, layouts, and P&IDs.

Responsibilities

• Review equipment layouts for compliance with mechanical codes and NFPA standards.
• Support evaluation and selection of new equipment with design-code reviews.
• Review and assist with basic P&IDs.
• Provide PE engineering review and stamping support as required.
• Apply mechanical engineering expertise to support decision-making at an operating facility.
• Support facility improvements, equipment modifications, and operational optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with engineering, design, and project teams to provide timely technical recommendations.
