Job summary

Halff is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer (PE) in San Antonio, TX to join our MEP team. The role requires an active Texas PE license and 10+ years of experience designing electrical systems for commercial, industrial, and institutional facilities.

Qualifications

• Active Texas PE license is required.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or ABET equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years designing electrical systems for commercial/industrial/institutional facilities.
• Senior role may require 10+ years and federal experience is a plus.
• Proficiency with REVIT and AutoCAD; experience with SKM/ETAP.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and modify electrical systems to meet project requirements.
• Prepare detailed designs, schematics, calculations, and construction documents.
• Perform feasibility studies, analyses, and system evaluations.
• Troubleshoot issues and implement design improvements.
• Manage or support projects with schedules, budgets, and quality control.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate electrical systems.
• Ensure compliance with NEC, NFPA 70E, IESNA, and other codes.
• Develop technical documentation and maintain design records.
• Provide mentorship and guidance to junior engineers.
