Houston Methodist is seeking a Patient Care Assistant/Unit Administrative Assistant (PCA/UAA) to support the interprofessional team in delivering high-quality care. This role performs basic ADL tasks, documents care, and communicates with physicians and staff under the supervision of a licensed nurse.

The position is part-time evenings with 24 hours per week, and rotating weekends and holidays. Candidates should have a High School diploma or equivalent and CNA/CMA/PCA experience; BLS

Qualifikationen

• Assists with basic patient care activities of daily living
• Communicates effectively with patients, families, and team members
• Proficient computer and basic office terminology skills

• Answers unit telephone calls and transfers as appropriate
• Greets patients and visitors, provides directions and information
• Maintains unit workflow and multitasks with minimal supervision
• Documents care and measurements as applicable per policy
• Coordinates with physicians and offices for routine calls and transfers
