Job summary

Rocs, Inc. is seeking a part-time payroll professional to own multi-entity payroll duties in the Washington, DC metro area. This on-site role in McLean, VA offers 24 hours per week across rotating payroll days, with hours 10 AM–6 PM, three days per week.

You will process semi-monthly payroll, input timesheets/bonuses, prepare journal entries, and support month-end close while ensuring compliance with FLSA and tax requirements. Strong Excel and confidentiality are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; equivalent experience considered.
• 3+ years payroll and general ledger reconciliation experience.

Responsibilities

• Process semi-monthly payroll across multiple departments and entities.
• Input timesheets and bonuses into Ptelea system and produce Crosstab reports.
• Prepare payroll data, check requests, and journal entries for payroll/benefit accounts.
• Assist with iPay statement resets for team members.
• Support month-end and year-end close and reconciliations.
• Reconcile tax filings and reports per agency requirements.
• Update budget spreadsheets with salary survey data.
