Job summary

Legend Management Group is seeking a Part Time Payroll Specialist to ensure accurate and timely processing for all employees across multiple departments and entities in a fast-paced environment. Home Office in McLean, VA; no remote work. Hourly rate: $29-$36.

The role reports to the Director of Human Resources and requires a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance and 3+ years of payroll experience, including GL reconciliation. Proficiency in Excel and ADP Workforce Now is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
• 3+ years of payroll and general ledger reconciliation experience.
• Experience with payroll regulations including FLSA and tax reporting.
• Strong Excel skills and high attention to detail.
• Strong analytical, organizational and communication abilities.

Responsibilities

• Check monthly timesheet and bonus input into the Ptelea system and process monthly Crosstab reports.
• Prepare and input payroll data for semi-monthly payrolls and generate related reports.
• Assist and reset iPay statements for team members.
• Provide customer service to internal and external payroll inquiries.
• Prepare journal entries for payroll and benefits and assist with month- and year-end close.
• Reconcile payroll and benefit accounts and resolve discrepancies promptly.
• Monitor quarterly and annual tax filings and reports; ensure compliance.
• Support benefit plan audits such as 401k and Workers' Comp.
