Job summary

Allied Universal is seeking a Part Time Security Officer (Patrol Technology) in Dedham, MA. You will monitor and patrol assigned areas, maintain a visible presence, and support a welcoming environment for employees and visitors at a dynamic media/tech location.

Position Type: Part Time. Pay Rate: $19.70 per hour. You will use computers/tablets, deliver outstanding customer service, and adhere to Allied Universal’s values of integrity, teamwork, and reliability.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background check required under federal, state and local laws.
• Drug screen required where permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements may be required prior to employment.
• Age 18+ for unarmed, 21+ for armed roles.
• Allied Universal will consider applicants with criminal histories.
• Valid driver’s license required for driving positions only.
• Comfortable using a computer or tablet.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to clients, employees, visitors, and media personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures, policies, and emergency response activities as appropriate.
• Conduct regular and random foot and/or vehicle patrols of media and technology facilities, offices, studios, parking areas, and perimeter locations to help identify and report unusual activity or conditions.
• Monitor access points and visitor activity, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate logs and reports in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, professional, problem-solving manner, notifying appropriate personnel and documenting actions taken.
• Help maintain a professional presence at a dynamic media location while communicating clearly with site contacts, guests, and Allied Universal leadership.
