• Make, cancel, and reschedule patient appointments.
• Gather, verify, and enter demographic and insurance information.
• Collect payments and issue receipts.
• Open and/or close the clinic according to scheduled rotation.
• Maintain patient records according to HIPAA guidelines.
• Interact with co-workers, physicians, and patients; perform other duties as needed.

Part-Time Patient RepresentativeAt Wolfe Eye Clinic, we create Better Vision for a Better Life.We have an immediate opening for a part-time Patient Representative in our Marshalltown clinic.Responsibilities include:Greeting patients and visitors and providing courteous, caring, and professional assistance during their clinic visit.Patient registration and dismissal.Answering telephone calls in a clear professional manner.Making, canceling, and rescheduling patient appointments.Gathering, verifying, and entering demographic and insurance information.Collecting payments and issuing receipts.Opening and/or closing the clinic according to scheduled rotation.Maintaining patient records according to HIPAA guidelines.Effectively interacting with co-workers, physicians, and patients.Performing other duties as needed.Qualifications include:Ability to demonstrate strong patient service skills.Ability to effectively enter information into a variety of computer programs.Ability to portray a professional attitude and appearance.Ability to demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills.Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment.Preferred (but not required) qualifications are:Previous experience in a medical officePrevious experience with an electronic medical record or medical office software.Some day-time travel is required.
