Job summary

Emerson Health is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to support Registered Nurses and clinical staff in direct patient care. The position reports to the Nurse Manager and offers a part-time schedule with Day/Eve shifts, hours from 7:00 AM to 7:30 PM.

Responsibilities include taking vital signs, assisting with ADLs, and ensuring patient safety using monitoring equipment. BLS is required; CNA is preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred.
• Currently enrolled in a professional or practical nursing program.
• Acute care or hospital experience preferred.
• BLS Certification - Healthcare Provider required.
• CNA strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Take and document vital signs accurately.
• Report changes in patient condition to the RN promptly.
• Assist with patient transport and ADLs under supervision.
• Maintain a safe, clean patient care environment.
• Operate monitoring equipment including NIBP, ECG, pulse oximetry.
• Respond to patient call lights in a timely manner.
• Support telesitter safety program when assigned.
