Job summary

Emerson Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician (PCT) / CNA to support nurses and provide compassionate care in a hospital setting. Under licensed nursing supervision, you will perform essential patient care duties and help ensure safe, attentive care.

Ideal candidates have a High School Diploma or GED and CNA training is strongly preferred; at least one year of acute care experience is desirable. BLS certification is required or strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Completion of a CNA Training Program strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assists clinical care team with direct patient care duties.
• Takes and documents vital signs.
• Assists with activities of daily living as directed by nursing staff.
• Monitors patients and communicates observations to Registered Nurses.
• Maintains a clean, safe patient care environment.
• Provides compassionate customer service to patients and families.
• Documents patient information using electronic medical record systems.
