Job summary

Beth Israel Lahey Health’s Beverly Hospital is seeking a Patient Care Technician to support Registered Nurses delivering compassionate basic patient care. Under RN supervision you will assist with personal needs, comfort, safety, and daily activities, while performing technical and administrative tasks you have trained for.

Qualifications include a High School diploma, ability to read/write and do basic math, and BLS certification within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Ability to read/write and perform basic 4 function math.
• Desire to help people and/or become a healthcare professional.
• Basic computer skills preferred.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.
• CNA certification preferred but not required upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Vital Signs collection and monitoring.
• Height and Weight measurement.
• Oxygen saturation checks and reporting observations.
• Collect specimens for analysis as directed.
• Record intake and output; assist with daily activities.
• Provide personal care and assist with meals and mobility.
• Perform basic clinical procedures under RN supervision.
