Job summary

Gadsden Regional Medical Center is hiring a Patient Care Technician (PCT) to provide high-quality, patient-centered care under RN/LPN supervision. The role supports daily living activities and maintains a safe, organized care environment.

The PCT will collect data, monitor vital signs, assist with meals, hygiene, and mobility, and communicate effectively with the healthcare team while adhering to infection control protocols.

Qualifications

• 0-2 years in an acute care setting preferred
• Enrolled in a nursing program preferred

Responsibilities

• Assist nursing staff in delivering care and maintaining a safe, organized environment.
• Record vital signs, intake/output and report findings to RN/LPN/LVN.
• Assist with meals, bathing, grooming, and hygiene; help with mobility and positioning.
• Support catheter care, specimen collection, and glucose monitoring per protocol.
• Communicate effectively with the care team and maintain professionalism.
• Adhere to infection control and PPE protocols; participate in safety initiatives.
