Responsibilities include providing direct patient care under RN direction, vital signs, telemetry, EKGs, and basic dressings, while supporting unit operations and ensuring infection control. Starting rates vary by role and education.

Qualifications

• Provide direct patient care under RN direction, including assisting with ADLs, procedures, and therapies.
• Vital signs, point-of-care testing, telemetry application, specimen collection, bladder scans, EKGs and dressings.
• Assist with unit and patient needs (call lights, meals, transport) and follow safety protocols.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care under RN direction.
• Perform core PCT tasks including vital signs and EKGs.
• Assist with patient needs (call lights, meals, transport).
• Maintain a safe, clean environment following infection control protocols.
• Monitor patients and report changes promptly.
• Document care and complete clerical tasks as needed.
• Support unit operations by stocking supplies.
• Communicate with patients, families, and the healthcare team.
• Demonstrate professionalism and seek growth opportunities.
• Respond to emergent situations and provide supervision as appropriate.
