Job summary

UPMC Passavant is hiring a Part Time Professional Staff Nurse to support our Rehab Unit. The unit is a 24-bed post-acute facility offering inpatient rehabilitation with 24-hour nursing and intensive therapy services.

The RN will establish care plans, participate in a collaborative care team, and provide patient and family teaching, with opportunities for precepting and leadership within the unit. A BSN is preferred and 1+ year of nursing experience is required.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of nursing experience.
• BSN preferred.

Responsibilities

• Develops and maintains productive relationships with patients, families and colleagues.
• Provides patient teaching to patients, families and staff as part of the care episode.
• Applies nursing process within Relationship Based Care to plan and deliver care.
• Participates in quality improvement and safety initiatives.
• Collaborates with care team to ensure continuity of care and smooth patient transitions.
