Job summary

Bingham Healthcare in Blackfoot, Idaho is seeking a Patient Admissions Clerk to warmly welcome patients and families, assist with admissions, registrations, and payments, and coordinate service directions within the hospital. Part-time and per‑diem roles are available.

You will be a vital first contact, helping patients navigate the admissions process, collect information, and maintain a positive, organized environment for visitors and staff.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• 1–3 months related experience and/or training preferred.
• CNA preferred; BLS and NVCI required within six months of hire.

Responsibilities

• Collect and enter patient demographic and insurance information accurately and promptly.
• Explain the admissions process and provide directions to service areas.
• Coordinate escorts for patients needing assistance.
• Handle payments, answer calls, direct inquiries, and balance cash drawer.
• Protect confidential patient information per HIPAA and regulations.
• Support registration, insurance information, and communications across the hospital.
