Job summary

Mountain View Hospital in Idaho seeks an Admissions Clerk to join our team. This role arranges outpatient admissions, collects patient information, enters data accurately into the system, and communicates Urgent Care policies to patients.

You will interview patients, obtain signatures and insurance details, handle payments, and maintain confidential records. Requires High School diploma or higher, current BLS certification, and experience with hospital information systems.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or higher.
• Current BLS Certification.
• One to three months of related experience or training; equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Ability to use hospital information system and operate basic computer functions and software.
• Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.
• Ability to speak effectively to customers and employees.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure; compute rates and percentages.

Responsibilities

• Register patients for outpatient testing and procedures; collect and verify personal and insurance information.
• Obtain signatures on forms and ensure accurate data entry into the system.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, nurses, coworkers, and physicians.
• Receive payments and post transactions; manage cash drawer accuracy.
• Maintain department records and confidentiality of patient information.
• Adhere to Urgent Care policies and dress code; maintain professional conduct.
