Qualifications

• Experience with medical billing procedures and documentation.
• Knowledge of Medicaid and commercial insurance processing.
• Strong customer service and telephone etiquette.
• Proficient data entry and basic PC skills (Word/Excel).
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Responsibilities

• Review and maintain fiscal/account records for patient accounts.
• Verify insurance benefits and billing information; annotate accounts.
• Contact third party payers for payment post billing.
• Resolve payment and billing issues; monitor authorizations and claim rejections.
• Manage revenue cycle, balances, and collections for self-pay clients.
• Back up receptionist duties including checking in patients and data entry.
