Job summary

Greenwood County Parks & Recreation is hiring a dependable Part‑Time Parks & Recreation Helper to join our team. You will support youth sports, keep facilities clean, and assist with events.

This hands‑on role requires a high school diploma or GED and about one year of experience; no special licenses required. Expect outdoor and indoor duties in various weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED and one year of experience; no special certifications or licenses required.

Responsibilities

• Help manage and monitor recreational activities, practices, games, tournaments, and other events
• Assist coaches and officials to help activities run smoothly and safely
• Supervise activities at County fields and gyms
• Open and close recreational facilities, including some weekend responsibilities
• Assist with park maintenance, including cutting grass, collecting trash, and janitorial services
• Help with crowd control, traffic management, facility setup, and customer service
• Enforce rules, record scores, and assist visitors as needed
• Perform other related duties as assigned
