Job summary

West Chester Borough seeks a part-time Parking Enforcement Officer to enforce parking regulations in the Borough, issue citations, and support traffic control and public safety. Qualifications

• Must become familiar with all parking ordinances.
• Must be in good physical condition for walking during shift.
• Must have strong communicative skills.
• Must be a high school graduate.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Enforce parking ordinances and laws within the assigned work area.
• Issue parking tickets to offenders of Borough parking ordinances or state violations where appropriate.
• Sign citations after tickets have been processed to citation status.
• Assist in traffic control as needed and assist the public respectfully.
• Relay important information to the dispatcher and testify in court as needed.
