Daviess County Fiscal Court is seeking a part-time grounds maintenance and park operations assistant. The role will support evenings and weekend park activities, enforcing park rules and maintaining facilities.

You will clean, inspect, and repair park amenities, assist with crowd control during events, and perform routine grounds upkeep including litter pickup and equipment operation. A GED or high school diploma is required.

Qualifications

• Language Skills: read and interpret safety rules and instructions; write routine reports; speak before groups or customers.
• Mathematical Skills: perform basic arithmetic with dollars, weights, volumes.
• Reasoning Ability: apply common sense, follow instructions, solve practical problems.

Responsabilités

• Enforce park rules, regulations, and enforcement procedures.
• Coordinate with Parks Administration for events at parks.
• Perform grounds maintenance, including ball fields, restrooms, shelters, bleachers and equipment.
• Inspect playgrounds, water fountains, and other facilities; report repairs and supply needs.
• Perform litter pickup and trash removal; operate light maintenance equipment.
• Maintain good public relations with visitors and staff; handle crowd control for events.
