Job summary

Assumption of the Blessed Virgin Mary Parish in Pasadena is seeking a Part-Time Parish Maintenance Worker to perform preventive maintenance, painting, carpentry, plumbing, electrical work and event setup.

The role requires weekend and weekday availability, physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and basic repair skills; membership in a Roman Catholic faith community and VIRTUS Live Scan are preferred.

Qualifications

• Active member of a Roman Catholic faith community.
• High School graduation or equivalent.
• Minimum of two years of facilities maintenance experience.
• Current VIRTUS Certification and Live Scan fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Installs and replaces minor work on pipes, fittings, and plumbing fixtures to maintain heating, water, gas, and drainage systems.
• Keeps electrical equipment in good condition; repairs wiring and electrical fixtures; replaces light bulbs.
• Maintains refrigeration equipment and inspects controls for efficient operation.
• Performs routine carpentry, maintenance, and painting of walls and fixtures.
• Opens/closes facilities for events and sets the air conditioning; performs related duties.
