Job summary

Waubonsee Community College is seeking a Part-time Adjunct Faculty member to teach Paramedic EMT courses for the 2026 cohort. Courses include didactic and embedded labs, with instruction delivered at Northwestern Medicine/Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL.

The candidate will use classroom technology to enhance learning and will be responsible for curriculum delivery and assessment. Minimum qualifications include an Illinois Paramedic license, high school diploma, and ability to pass a hospital drug

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Active Illinois Paramedic license in good standing.
• Must pass a drug test per hospital regulations.
• Immunization records (e.g., Covid; Flu) per hospital regulations.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction and monitor teaching/learning effectiveness in courses assigned by the division Dean.
• Model professionalism with excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrate strong organizational skills and the ability to multitask and engage large groups with complex material.
• Instruct in lecture, skills, or clinicals per IDPH guidelines at Northwestern Medicine/Delnor Hospital in Geneva, IL.
• Schedule and manage students' clinical rotations as needed.
• Prepare the syllabus and instruct the assigned course per course outline and learning-centered principles.
• Meet all Waubonsee Community College deadlines for attendance, grades and data collection.
• Work collaboratively with colleagues to serve students and the community.
• Manage course paperwork, attendance and grade postings, and review of students' clinicals.
