Job summary
AccentCare is seeking a Nurse Practitioner in Palliative Care for AdventHealth Central Texas Hospital in Texas. This part-time role offers 20 hours per week, Monday–Friday, with a $2,500 sign-on bonus for eligible candidates.
The NP will develop and implement care plans for patients with chronic and terminal illnesses, under supervision of physicians. Qualifications include NP licensure in the operating state, active DEA license, CPR certification, and readiness to travel to all locations.
Qualifications
- Graduated from an approved school of professional nursing.
- Licensed to practice as a Nurse Practitioner in the state of operation.
- Active DEA license in the state where care is provided.
- CPR certification maintained; travel to all locations.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement clinical plans of care for patients with chronic and terminal illnesses.
- Perform patient assessment, history and physical; recommendations on symptom management.
- Maintain communication with supervisory and attending physicians to review care plans.
- Coordinate care with other staff and agencies to optimize patient outcomes.
- Prescribe medications as permitted by the state and participate in ongoing education.
