Part-Time Packaging Operator

Plant Overview

• Located in Delmar, NY
• We produce residential housing insulation, about 300 million pounds annually, servicing the entire Northeast Region.
• We are a union plant, partnering with United Steel Workers.

Schedule

• 29 Hours Per Week (flexible)
• Preferred: 3 Days a week: two (2) 10-Hour Shifts and one (1) 9-Hour Shift
• Day Shift: 7AM-5PM
• Night Shift: 7PM-5AM

Pay

Straight rate: $22.85

Environment

• Manufacturing environment, non-climate controlled. The work involves standing and moving around. PPE is provided, including a voucher for steel toes.

Primary Job Responsibilities

The employee primarily works in the plant's repack area, responsible for safety, housekeeping, and assisting in manufacturing tasks. Duties include inspecting materials for a paper barrier, moving products onto the conveyor safely, and performing housekeeping tasks. Employees may be assigned to other areas, such as the belt roll-up area, with proper training.
