Job description

TITLE:

Packer C

POSITION OBJECTIVE:

Efficiently and accurately pack products, maintaining quality standards throughout the process.

QUALIFICATIONS:
  • A High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Legal eligibility to work in the US
  • Previous work experience in a manufacturing setting preferred, with knowledge of production processes, quality control, and other techniques
  • Effective communication skills, both written and verbal, with all levels of personnel
  • Proficiency in reading and writing English
  • Basic math skills and mechanical aptitude for machines used in the production process
  • Ensure consistent, dependable attendance and demonstrate a willingness to accommodate non-standard work hours as necessary
  • Capable of effectively managing job-related stress and fostering positive workplace interactions
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Comply with, monitor, and enforce all written and verbal safety regulations and programs of the plant and department
  • Understand and adhere to plant policies and procedures, including good manufacturing practices, hazard analysis, and critical control points processes
  • Read docket daily and all order changes to ensure the proper product is being packed
  • Label for the current and upcoming jobs to ensure accuracy
  • Inspect final products using quality checks, ensuring proper documentation and timely communication of any issues
  • Complete proper quality bag checks every fifteen minutes
  • Maintain pace with the production process and achieve daily production targets while ensuring cleanliness in the designated area
  • Perform other duties as assigned
