This role requires 1+ year sanitation experience, OSHA knowledge, and the ability to work late evenings and overnight. You will work as part of a team and contribute to a safe shopping environment.

Qualifications

• 18+ years old.
• 1+ year of experience in maintenance or sanitation.
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines.
• Basic knowledge of product handling and food preparation processes.
• Ability to learn to operate equipment from various Store departments.

Responsibilities

• Maintains department cleanliness and safety with urgency.
• Deep cleans and disinfects processing areas, equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains.
• Maintains documentation and certifications for chemical handling and sanitation verification.
• Properly uses cleaning chemicals and tools.
• Uses the H-E-B chemical program and maintains stock in the maintenance room.
• Assists in product knowledge and handling relevant to sanitation.
• Operates department sanitation equipment as needed.
• Identifies insect or rodent types and places pest control traps.
• Ensures safety and sanitation standards by following SOPs.
• Communicates maintenance needs and process improvements to Store Leaders.
