Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Total Store Sanitation Specialist to maintain department cleanliness, sanitize processing areas, and ensure safety across the store.

You will handle chemical safety, document certifications, and support store leaders while working around customers and maintaining food safety standards. The role requires 1+ year in sanitation or maintenance, a HS diploma or GED, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs; evenings or overnight shifts may be required.

Qualifications

• HS Diploma or GED; safety-related certifications encouraged on hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain department cleanliness and safety with urgency.
• Deep clean and disinfect processing areas, equipment, fixtures, floors, and drains.
• Document chemical handling and sanitation verification functions.
• Follow SOPs to ensure food safety and sanitation standards.
• Communicate maintenance needs and improvements to Store Leaders.
• Assist customers and support store operations as needed.
