Job summary

H-E-B is seeking a Total Store Sanitation Specialist to maintain department cleanliness, sanitation compliance, and safety across store areas. You will deep clean processing zones, manage chemical handling documentation, and operate sanitation equipment following SOPs.

The role supports customer service and collaborates with store leaders on process improvements. The position requires 1+ years in maintenance or sanitation, a HS Diploma or GED, and the ability to work late evenings/overnight

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in maintenance / sanitation
• HS Diploma or GED or equivalent
• Knowledge of OSHA guidelines and sanitation procedures
• Strong communication and time-management abilities

Responsibilities

• Maintains department cleanliness and safety with urgency and prioritization
• Deep cleans and disinfects processing areas, equipment, fixtures, coolers, floors, and drains
• Maintains documentation and certification of chemical handling and sanitation verification
• Properly uses chemicals and cleaning tools and follows safety SOPs
• Uses H-E-B chemical program and maintains stock in the maintenance room
• communicates maintenance needs and process improvements to Store Leaders
• Assists customers in locating products and supports Total Store Sanitation duties when needed
