Job summary

You will lead scenes, coordinate with safety personnel, and deliver care per protocols while maintaining efficiency and strong community relations. Minimum qualifications include MT Paramedic Certification, National Registry, driver’s license, and current BCLS/ACLS/PALS or PEPP/BTLS.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent (GED).
• Montana Paramedic Certification or application pending.
• National Registry current.
• Valid State Driver’s License.
• Current BCLS, ACLS, PALS or PEPP, BTLS.
• Driving record compliant with AMR Safety and Driving policy.
• Ability to pass drug & background screening.
• Ability to pass a physical agility test (PAT).

Responsibilities

• Assess each call to determine best course of action using progressive Paramedic protocols.
• Utilize Paramedic skills with defibrillator, EKG monitor, oxygen, suction and IV fluids.
• Communicate with patients and loved ones to provide information and reassurance.
• Act as Paramedic team leader and manage scene and unit when needed.
• Work collaboratively with allied health and public safety personnel and fellow Paramedics.
• Develop and utilize triage skills for optimal efficiency on calls.
• Provide patient care per clinical protocols and safety requirements.
• Lift and move patients as required for optimum care.
• Communicate with receiving facility for medical direction and critical information.
• Drive the ambulance and assist with map reading to minimize response time.
• Communicate with dispatcher to receive and interpret call data and feedback.
